Friday on CHRW & LOLA Festival

Be sure to tune in to CHRW tomorrow from 3:30-6pm. I won't be on the air for Pulp Friction, but I just found out that Brian Webb from The Constantines will be guest hosting the show in my absence.

They're in town to play this year's LOLA Festival, which will also feature performances from The Meligrove Band, Grizzly Bear, Final Fantasy, Holy Fuck, and lots more.

My band, The Knaves, are also very excited to be a part of this year's festival, which will see the Canadian premiere of Brian Eno's art exhibit '77 Million Paintings'.

Tune in to 94.9 CHRW (or chrwradio.com) this Saturday from 11am to 1:30pm to hear me host the Canada Day weekend special broadcast for the second straight year. The show will feature 25 of the best/most well known covers of Canadian songs done by international and Canadian artists. The list was compiled based on votes submitted by listeners, to the station's website.

I should also mention that someone will be filling in for me on this week's Pulp Friction show, as I finish preparing info for the special. I'll be back on the air hosting Pulp Friction on July 6th with previews of new albums from Interpol and Spoon, as well as a special live in-studio performance from Alexandra Krakus.
