So, at the last club I worked at I'd get requests every night for Metallica. I don't own any Metallica, and can't stand them, so I never played them.
Well now it's requests for kitsch-y songs like 'Summer of 69' by Bryan Adams, or 'Jesse's Girl' by Rick Springfield! What's up with that?!
For the record, I don't play cheesy novelty songs. You're not at a wedding, and I'm not a Karoaoke machine. But if you have a request for some good rock n roll, like say Ryan Adams, I'll always gladly play it. Long live good rock n roll!
